Robert Asselin
Robert Asselin (born 1974) is the Vice President, Policy and Research at Canada 2020, a Canadian Progressive think-tank located in Ottawa. Asselin is a senior policy advisor to the Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau. Asselin was the Associate Director of the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Ottawa from 2007 to 2015. In 2014, Asselin was a Visiting Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C.
Asselin served as a speechwriter and advisor to Prime Minister Paul Martin from 2004 to 2006. From 2001 to 2004, Asselin was a policy advisor to Intergovernmental Affairs Ministers Stéphane Dion and Pierre Pettigrew.
